West Coast Mini Rail

located in Squamish, B.C. Canada. Located 40 miles north of Vancouver on highway 99.

The mini rail phase 1 was built this year and opened on July 13th 1996.We have approximately 2500 feet of track gauge is 7.5". A loop at one end and a wye at the other end. This railway is located within the West Coast Railway Heritage Park and serves to transport visitors in the park.

Phase 2 will see a total of approximately 5,000 feet, however no date as yet for the start of phase 2. We wish to enhance phase 1 before we get into phase 2.

This was all constructed by dedicated volunteers.

The season is from end of May to end of October. However this year we get a bonus as we will be operating the mini rail within Canada Place in Vancouver.
