Notes on Workshop Techniques

This is a series of articles describing machining techniques and tricks to get the best out of your workshop machinery.
All comments represent a personal viewpoint and the opinions expressed are my own and based mostly on experience. The objective has not been to produce a technical dissertation, there are many engineering text books that fulfill that role far better than I can hope to. This is more like basic information for the Model Engineer modified by ideas and tips which I have found useful over the years. Little is new in this hobby, and the information has been collected from so many different sources that it's impossible for me to credit all the originators individually. In some cases I may point you to a source where further information may be obtained. You will appreciate this is going to take some considerable time to put together so I might as well post it in installments. Those items marked with a should be available - if not complete.
